meg: my mju muse

my tumblr followers have been seeing alot of images taken with my olympus mju aka stylus epic.  i have rescued this camera from its tomb in my mom’s closet.  it was dusty, scuffed up, unloved… i wondered if it still works. i slid open its lens cover the lens extended, holy crap its alive!! years in the closet and the battery is still alive!!! but the joy was short lived, it was its battery’s last breath, i couldn’t close the cover anymore.

weeks later, i bought a replacement battery and a test roll… i bought another roll, trusting this 90’s relic is still doing its job. i went out to get both rolls developed, got it 1hr later… wow. i am smitten. i now carry this camera everyday. i cant believe i took this camera for granted for all the years i used it in high school.

find your old cameras.. you’ll be thrilled to find a gem amongst the junk you’ve accumulated all these years 🙂
