CHDK test run

i’ve had one my CF cards installed w/ the CHDK firmware hack for the rebel xti a few weeks back and i really haven’t really gotten to play w/ it.  last night i attended my friends’ wedding reception and thought to bring the dslr w/ the hacked CF card.

my friends weren’t too pleased to find out i was planning on going monochrome all night. w/c ive never done before really. i set the profile to monochrome, contrast back one notch and filter set to red and set the ISO to 3200.. yep ISO3200 on a 400D! i suddenly fell in love!

here are some images. they’re pretty much SOOC, just a little level adjustments on photoshop and some sharpening for web. no noise reduction.

the 400D handles iso3200 pretty well doncha think? i can’t believe canon just didnt put it in there in the first place!

all photos were taken w/ my cousin’s a canon powershot G10. I was incharge of it for the whole trip since he was busy being the instructor.  now i’m really itching to get the S90 and the UW housing for it. i need a sponsor lol!
